At 116 Cranford Street, our team of Project Managers represented the client's interests throughout the process. The focus was on transforming two sections by demolishing existing homes and merging them into a single development. The development involved the construction of 9 units, including 3 attached 2-bedroom units and 3 detached units, and 6 garages.

Kensway's responsibilities included engaging structural experts and a contractor. Our involvement covered a range of regulatory aspects, such as resource consents, subdivisions consent, and building consent, in conjunction with Gravity Architecture and Rhodes & Associates.

The land was designated as TC2 and therefore required significant work due to its geological conditions. The solution entailed ground remediation and a rib raft foundation to make it suitable for construction. Situated on Cranford Street, a TC1 arterial road with heavy traffic and traffic lights, the project site presented complex traffic management requirements. The need for services connections also led to temporary road closures, which involved extensive coordination with local authorities. There was limited space on-site which necessitated meticulous planning for storage and manoeuvrability.

The collaborative efforts of the project team, which comprised Kensway, planners, surveyors, architects, and contractors, played a significant role in achieving these high-quality townhouses.
